NABA Butterfly Park
Today's NY Times has a great article on the Rio Grande Valley's NABA Butterfly Park. It's a place I'd love to visit someday. The butterflies in the Rio Grande Valley are the most diverse and numerous of anywhere in the US.
Dedicated to birding, bugs, plants and other random nature stuff.

I've spent lots of time there, and it is really cool. The small part that they have put plantings in, which concentrate the butterflies, can occupy you for many hours.
I grew up in Harlingen, and I so took for granted the birds and butterflies. Then I move away to go to college and live life (in PA), and they go and get a world-class birding festival and a butterfly park? I wuz robbed.
