The great flood

Ok, so my upstairs neighbor flooding her kitchen isn't on par with the story of Noah, but it's been one big, darn inconvenience. We had a contractor out today to tear out sheetrock and insulation from our living room and kitchen. Now we have 3 giant dehumidifiers and 6 big industrial fans running for the next 3 days. Our house isn't that big, so we've had to practically move into our bedroom. The fans and dehumidifier make it really warm in the house though. My friend also pointed out their festive color (about two weeks late!).

What a mess, Patrick. I hope things are back to normal soon. Bleh.

I'm surprised you can sleep with all that stuff whirring. I hope the repair work gets done soon.

Wow, that totally looks like not fun!

Well, I guess it COULD be worse. We could have damaged carpets which we don't. The noise isn't bad if we shut the bedroom door, but it's HOT from all the equipment running.

These are very typical of the hallucinations caused by ingesting the psychotropic enzymes of the Australian Nightmare, or "lemon," ant.

A diet rich with gravel will help clean out your system, and you should be back to normal within several years. However, you might want to limit your ant butt-licking in the future.

Good advice Opposable Chums, I've made note of cutting my ant butt-licking down to a minimum.

A friend of mine went through this situation when their neighbor’s hot water heater started leaking. Sadly no one was home and the alarm was only struck when a neighbor saw water running through the siding - NOT GOOD. The end result was that their whole condo needed to be torn out and redone...OUCH.

Patrick, you guys seem to be making the best of a bad situation.
