First baby picture!

Here is the first picture of baby Belardo. Ok, so it's more of an amorphous blob or sea creature at this time, but you can make out some parts there. It's about the size of a blueberry now, so we've been calling it "our little blueberry." The Belardos are known for being well-endowed in the cranial area, hence the comment on there. The circle shows the baby. The line points to the giant head. I have to admit that seeing the little beating heart was truly mind-blowing.

I always went to the Ultra sounds, I always thought they were cool looking, plus you get to learn a little bit about your kid before its born. One of my favorite pictures is of Lillian just before she was bord, thumb firmly stuck in mouth. It's still in her mouth today!

The worse ultra sound comes at about 6 months. Thats when they usually go through and do an exam, looking for all sorts of scary stuff.

AWESOME Patrick. Seeing the scan with each of my kids, made it 'real' for me. It's amazing all the stuff they measure and check out. Hopefully the little blueberry will have Beth's looks ;-)

Awww...look at your little blueberry!
How far along is Beth?

I always liked my ultrasounds. It's the least invasive test during pregnancy. I still have a audio tape of the first time we heard Isabelle's heart beat.

I'm hoping, for Beth's sake, that the Belardo Uber-Cranium skips a generation.

@Will - I guess I need to find out more about this 6 month test!

@Susan - She's 7 weeks and a little more. I hope for a small head for her sake too!

Cool stuff, looks like our early sonagrams, that is, kind of like a slug.

They do get clearer, for what it's worth.

This sub-adult plumage is, of course, notoriously difficult, and the photo is a bit blurred, but, based on the head-to-(hospital) bill ratio, I'd say you're looking at a Least Belardo (blueberrius belardum).
