Still, interesting pic as it looks much more like a city pigeon ontop of that pole, and I've never seen a picture of an Ivory Gull perched anywhere else but the ground (ice, rocks, beach, dead seal, bird photographer, ...).
Live in NJ, work the Corporate life by day, try to be an amateur naturalist the rest of the time. I currently volunteer as an Associate Naturalist for the NJ Audubon Society.

the pylons seems a bit dangerous, at least for bigger birds.
Jochen, it spent a good amount of time on that pole with many birders standing underneath it!
Markus, they are some old, destroyed pylons. There was also a Snowy Owl at this location nestled between many of these old pylons.
