Meal Meme

I picked up this one from A Snail's Eye View even though I wasn't tagged. I always said I'd have a food blog if I didn't have a nature blog. The idea is to mark out in bold the foods you've eaten and cross off the ones you wouldn't touch. Wow, there's a lot of stuff I need to try. As you can tell, I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to food.

I'm a notoriously fussy eater, but still there are a few things on your list that I've tried and you haven't:

steak tartar
black pudding
epoisses
oxtail
sea urchin
andouillette
currywurst
haggis

And I liked all of 'em but the currywurst!

Now I do draw the line at agouti, having not enjoyed it at all in Guyana last year.... And that great Provencal specialty pieds et paquets was just too much for me to even taste.

andouillette

Don't worry Susan, this Lassi doesn't bark. It's an Indian drink. Considering I live near one of the biggest populations of Indian immigrants in the US, I can probably knock a few items off this list.

Rick, you are a seasoned eater of innards it seems! I looked up pieds et paquets and that's a bit nasty. Sheeps feet, right? Also, I think I'd just feel bad eating a poor little agouti, but I'd try it.

Hare Patrick?

You ate a sweet little bunny rabbit?

;-(

(Kidding almost)

This is fun... I don't know half of what these things are; a fun meme that I'll play along with.

My measuring stick is clams. A clam is pretty disgusting, when you think about what you are eating. But I love fried clams (Jersey Shore staple).

Laura, I wanted to see what it was like to be a bird of prey. Tastes like chicken!

Susan, I am a clam fan myself. I've done the raw clams thing too, but it's too much work to eat and they taste like the ocean.
