NY Times Talks Native Plants

There's an excellent article in the NY Times about the importance of native plants in your garden. Check it out here.

Thanks, I usually read Anne Raver's column, but missed this one. I really like your site. I was actually looking for info about hawk's nests. I am an amateur birder and saw a hawk go flying past my bird feeder today. It was quite a sight. I'm still trying to figure out what it was. The local wildlife refuge thought it might be a Sharp-shinned Hawk or a Merlin. It seems like it was a lot bigger than either of those.

Hi Jacqueline,

It could also be a Cooper's Hawk which is the bigger cousin of the Sharp-shinned Hawk.
