The Onion meets real life?
In a headline I expect to see in The Onion and not a "real" news source, Fox News has an article titled Boehner Skeptical Wildlife Lives in Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. You've got to be kidding me that someone actually thinks this way.

Truth. It's stranger than fiction, my friend.
He will not see what he wants to not see. I'm sure that House Republicans didn't contract with any organization that will showcase wildlife...They will helicopter over the tundra, carefully avoiding any charismatic megafauna herds and too far away to see plants, birds, etc. His mind is made up already. Everyone should do what they can to prevent the reckless changes proposed for ANWR.
Aarrgghh!
Faux News, of course, left the comment unchallenged in their article.
The only "barren desert" (the term Boehner uses to describe ANWR) is the inside of his head...

Obviously, they're going to see what they want to see, and ignore what they do not want to see. Personally, I think this trip is nothing more than political show-boating.
However, I can personally attest to the presence of wildlife in the Arctic Refuge (I refuse to ever refer to that glorious wilderness as "ANWR"...doing so, in my mind, only serves to diminish the power and beauty of its full name). I was fortunate enough to spend ten days volunteering for the US Fish and Wildlife Service a few years ago doing a public use survey in the very heart of the refuge's coastal plain, at a place called Caribou Pass. Here's what I saw:

That is one tiny chunk of the 30,000 caribou (give or take a few thousand) that migrated past my tent while I was there. No wildlife my ass! Good to see people are not taking this "news" seriously, though.
His last name is Boehner. I'm going to take the liberty of assuming he has an ax to grind with pretty much everything and everyone. What an ignoramus.
Perhaps his last name is Stabone and it's just a nickname? Man, I hope someone gets that reference.

He is a congressman what do you expect. He's been on the Gravey-train so long he has lost perspective.
Obviously he is a Boehn head! I bet he has a ton of ignorant girls that like to shop till they drop in his family also and several MacMansions all built in former marsh lands.
